Before her appointment, Lemke was manager of pharmacy operation at St. Luke’s and also worked as director of pharmacy for Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors. Before moving to Duluth, she worked in pharmacies in Chicago and the Twin Cities.
Lemke received her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Minnesota and completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at the University of Illinois-Chicago. She also serves as a clinical instructor and preceptor for the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS
Builders Commonwealth Inc. received the organization’s Community Service Award for “exhaustive efforts by an extreme team for an extreme dream in designing, coordinating and executing the construction of a ‘life-changing’ new home for the Huber family” and their ability to garner a communitywide show-of-force in completing this fast-track project.”
Alessandro Giuliani received the Visionary Award, which read: “For your forward-thinking and innovative approach of Clyde Iron Works development that truly provides a new vision and excitement for the region while keeping the historic value of this site.”

CERTIFICATIONS AND ACCREDITATIONS
Participants complete eight full-day workshops (48 hours of training), which provide a base of knowledge about current law and practices, including personnel issues, human resource management and labor-management relations.
ELECTIONS
Benson is a Proctor native and started his newspaper career at age 13 as a printer devil working with hot metal and moveable wooden type. Though high school he wrote for the school paper as well as for the Proctor Journal. After three years in the Army as a photojournalist he joined the Journal staff and served as an advertising representative, salesman, reporter and editor before becoming publisher. In 1998 he purchased the Floodwood Forum.
He has served on the MNA member services committee, chaired the journalism education committee and finance committee and is the board’s legislative liaison. He is also a graduate of the Blandin Foundation Community Leadership Program.

RELOCATION/OPEN HOUSE
Laaksonen is a Cloquet native who has more than 30 years of legal experience working in Carlton County. His office has been in Cloquet for the duration of his career. He practiced family law and handled civil and criminal matters, as well as estate planning.
A relocation and retirement open house/party will be held from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Friday at the new location. The event includes dessert and coffee.
